The Haw River Ballroom is not only an awesome music venue, but a seriously great wedding venue, too. The venue is located in what was once a historic cotton mill in the beloved, little town of Saxapahaw (just about 15 miles west of Chapel Hill). The Haw River Ballroom has three levels, exposed brick walls, great natural light, a riverside deck, and even outdoor amphitheater. It is truly a wedding photographer's dream + has countless great backdrops for taking amazing wedding portraits.

Merry Hill is one of my favorite wedding venues & is located on a quiet dirt road just outside of Chapel Hill in Mebane, North Carolina. The focal point of this venue is a classic, white farmhouse that is truly stunning inside & out. On the top floor of the farmhouse is a beautiful bridal suite, complete with an incredible balcony (that is perfect for taking photographs.) Little details that make this venue so wonderful include: a separate, small cottage for the groom's quarters, horses, peacocks, a bon fire pit, lily pond, & truly thoughtful landscaping. Self-catering, beer/wine, & pets are all welcome at this venue which make it an extra special find. Rental of the farmhouse & grounds at Merry Hill begins at $2,000.

The Bradford is a beautiful venue located just south of Jordan Lake in New Hill, North Carolina. This venue is comprised of a gorgeous main house, ballroom, courtyard, and garden. Amenities that are included in your rental of The Bradford include: a bridal suite, a groom's suite, use of the grounds for your bridal shoot(!), a venue coordinator on your wedding day, and tables & seating for up to 120 guests. They also have a few lovely rooms available to rent if you wanted to spend your wedding night or weekend on the property. The Bradford requires that you choose a caterer from their list of preferred caterers, that you have a day-of coordinator, & that all rentals go through CE Rentals. Rental of The Bradford begins at $3000.

7. CLoth Mill at Eno River

The Cloth Mill at Eno River is located in Hillsborough, North Carolina (just 20 minutes from Chapel Hill).  Aside from being located in one of my favorite little towns ever (& a short walk to the Riverwalk for taking portraits), highlights of the venue include it's cool industrial vibe, great outdoor courtyard, and market lights. 8. THE Barn of chapel hill

The Barn of Chapel Hill at Wild Flora Farm is the newest wedding venue to the area and already one of my favorites. The historic, 19th-century barn has been impeccably restored & into stunning, bright space that feels rustic and modern all at once. In addition to the barn, the venue is equipped with a lovely bridal suite, garden patio, and covered veranda. The Barn of Chapel Hill is family-owned by farmer-florists, so they also offer full floral services (as well as pick-your-own options + workshops!) of their amazing, locally-grown flowers.

The Barn at Valhalla is an extremely unique wedding venue located on a 30 acre property with just about every amenity you could dream of. Features of the venue include: a barn with a sleeping loft that can accommodate up to 18 guests, an outdoor hearth/deck area, a lake, gazebo, & a stunning lodge (complete with a kitchen, another guest room, a bride & groom suite, grand piano, and jacuzzi).
