Charles Turns One
Duke Park // Durham, North Carolina
I met Charles + his parents at Duke Park playground on a quiet Sunday morning for his first birthday portraits. They brought along a few of his current favorite things (*one of them being a very awesome bubble machine) + we strolled around singing, playing, and making a whole lot of funny faces. The entire session felt beautifully relaxed + all about documenting this little snippet of time. In short, it was lovely.
Erika + Josh
Eno River State Park // Cole Mill Road
From the minute that I met Erika + Josh, I knew that they were my kinda people. I had so much fun exploring a little piece of the Eno with them & already (waaay) can't wait to photograph their wedding this December at the Durham Armory. It's going to be a beauty, for sure.

Katie + Doman
West Point on the Eno // Durham, NC
Katie + Doman's engagement session made me extra, extra excited about photographing their wedding next Fall at Chatham Mills. Not only did I get to meet their cats + talk to them for too long about ramen, but I also got watch them make each other laugh for about two hours straight. Seriously. These two really know how to crack each other up + it is the best.
Stepping into the Dress
If you read my recent interview with Wedding Lovely, then you know that I absolutely love photographing brides + grooms as they get ready on their wedding day. The quiet, the excitement, and the anticipation that can be captured during the moments before the ceremony are so precious & I love being able to preserve every last drop of them. My hope is always to capture a visual story of the day, that will spark memories + feelings for all the years to come.

Meet a wedding photographer in Durham, NC
I recently had the pleasure of being interviewed for the Wedding Lovely blog + they really hit the nail on the head with their questions. If you're at all curious about how I started photographing weddings, my favorite part of the wedding day to capture, or my dream location to shoot a wedding, you can find out that + more here. x
Gabby + Zach
North Carolina Museum of Art
Gabby + Zach's engagement session was pretty much just the perfect afternoon. They had the best ideas for where they wanted to take photographs + as a bonus, they were all places that were new to me. So I got to get the grand tour of Raleigh, while also hanging out with them & photographing their cutie pie faces.
To begin I met them (& their pup!) at Trophy Brewing on Maywood for a couple of pints. (*Sidenote: They oh so appropriately ordered Trophy Wife + Trophy Husband for their first round.) Then we made quick stops at the Raleigh Farmer's Market & their new home, before heading over to the North Carolina Museum of Art to catch the last few moments of sunset.
It. was. great.
(Now I just have to contain my excitement to photograph their wedding this coming fall at The Parlour at Manns Chapel, but I know that that'll be magic, too.) x
