What are Engagement Sessions like?
I try to keep Engagement Sessions super relaxed, give space or direction when needed, and generally just encourage folks to be themselves & enjoy one another’s company. I like to think of Engagement Sessions as tiny, intimate adventures that are meant to quietly celebrate this sweet, finite period of your relationship.
Why should we book an Engagement Session?
Engagement sessions are a really important time both for me and for you. They give us a chance to spend some time together before your wedding day & give you a chance to get confident and comfortable being in front of my camera. Engagement shoots are also a great opportunity to have fun, to get to know one another, and to capture some beautiful photographs of the two of you in a more natural setting.
What should we wear to our session?

Where will we shoot?
Where the two of you met, at your home together, or the place where you had your first date are always lovely places to start. I'm also more than happy to help you pick a unique location for your engagement session in Durham, Chapel Hill, Raleigh, or beyond. Do you travel for Engagement Sessions?
A vast majority of my sessions are done in the Triangle area, but I am open to traveling if you have your heart set on a special place. My travel rate is $0.55/mile after the first 60 miles + one night of accommodations if travel is farther than 2 hours from downtown Durham.
Can we bring our pet to the session?
Certainly. They are a part of your life together, after all. (And as an added bonus, they are often great subjects.) Just please let me know ahead of time so that I can come prepared.
When will we get our photos?
Engagement Sessions are delivered 2-3 weeks after your shoot in a personalized, online gallery.
