I was so excited when Kayla said that she loved my idea of going on a mother-daughter ice cream date to The Parlour for part of her family session. It was truly the cherry on top of their already beautiful shoot. (Plus, it was really fun to yell "ice creaaaaam" over & over with her sweet girl, Lowry, while running around Trinity Park.)

Her little daughter, Amelia, is sincerely the sweetest & I couldn't wait for an excuse just to spend time with her. For their Family Session, we met at The Goat & then walked over to Camden Park to kick off our shoes, play tag, & pick // wish on many, many dandelions. The incredibly lovely Katie Dunn, of La Fête Event Planning + Design, invited me to photograph her daughter Riley's 1st birthday. Let's just say that it was there that I had my first country ham biscuit + that it was kind of the best Sunday ever.

It feels like this trip was 2,000 years ago, but it's funny noticing all of the things that haven't changed since our time in Buenos Aires. I still have that pencil, for one. And I've been making an absurd number of lists lately, too.
